Private taxi in Porto Cesareo

In order to move around Porto Cesareo, you should opt for the rental of a private taxi, a convenient and practical service to avoid taking public transport or using your own car.

Porto Cesareo is a very popular location in Salento in summer due to its fine sandy beaches, its clear waters and the breathtaking views of the Mediterranean scrub. Discovering Porto Cesareo by public transport in summer may not be the best: with the heat and so many people, these are usually always crowded. There are problems even if you go there with your own transport: it is difficult to find parking, both in town and at the seaside, and perhaps those that are there are also expensive. It can be an excellent choice to book a private taxi to Porto Cesareo: in the municipality there is only a rental with driver service. The rate is established before booking and does not change even if there is a lot of traffic.

Beaches that you cannot miss are, for example, Torre Lapillo or Punta Prosciutto, which has an expanse of white sand and dunes up to 4 meters high.Punta Prosciutto is part of the Palude del Conte and Duna Costiera-Porto Cesareo Regional Nature Reserve, which includes the old saltworks of Torre Colimena, located within the Salina dei Monaci Nature Reserve. Here you can go sailing or kitesurfing, or you can hire boats for day trips on your own.

In addition to these two, there is the beach of Torre Chianca, located in another hamlet of Porto Cesareo, characterised by sand and transparent water. Here, too, you can enjoy water sports such as diving, in order to admire the seven marble columns probably sunk after the shipwreck of a Roman vessel. Here you can go sailing or kitesurfing, or you can hire boats for day trips on your own. This would have happened about 1800 years ago. On the seabed of Torre Inserraglio, however, lies the wreck of the Neuralia, which came back from the Normandy landings.

A few hundred meters from the coast of Porto Cesareo you can find Isola Grande of Porto Cesareo, also known as Isola dei Conigli (Rabbits Island), which can also be reached by swimming and is a true unspoilt paradise.
